Try to figure out what you're doing differently on those days when you feel like your aim is on point. Eating, sleeping right can play a big role in overall consistency. And mental state as well, if you get on frustrated or stressed/anxious it can show in your gameplay. And know that the amount of bad days decrease over time, or at least the ones you have will be much better as you improve over time.

I seen massive improvement over the last 2 weeks. Overnight ive somehow regressed and now im playing terrible again. Went from 5-8 kills every game to 0-1 and less than 100 damage, losing every fight

@@Shittypants69 off days are still going to happen, I would say just take a break for a day and come back and refresh your mental. The more you think about how bad you're playing, the worse you'll play, and you will spiral

Im having really bad input delay rn or whatever its called. When i look around it isnt smooth its choppy. Any tips to reduce or completely remove it?

I haven't used a 240Hz yet so I don't have any good recommendations for you, mine is a 144Hz. I would just recommend something with low latency and if you're doing video/photo editing you want to pay attention to the color and display specifications because most high end gaming monitors give up deep color/quality for speed. Maybe get a dedicated gaming monitor and then one for photo/video editing so you don't have to compromise

Definitely leave mouse acceleration off, because windows will artificially speed up or slow down your mouse movement depending on the speed at which you swipe...you want raw input so leave accel off. Windows mouse setting is fine as is, basically the best way to understand DPI is that if you lower your DPI, your mouse cursor will move slower and your sensitivity will feel slower so you'd have to adjust your sensitivity because it wouldn't be equal...like 800DPI 1.5 = 400DPI 3.0, to give a round number example. Without getting too complicated with numbers, I would say pick a Windows mouse sensitivity and DPI that is comfortable for your every day browsing, and then just pick an Apex sensitivity that is proportionate. I'd recommend something around 1.2-1.8 for beginners at 800 dpi, but you could plug those same numbers into a DPI/sens converter, 1.5 at 800 DPI would be 3.0 400 DPI, but at 1100 DPI it would 1.1 (roughly). Hope that helps a little.

I would strongly disagree. I would argue it's easier to track a moving target smoothly in Apex with a lower sensitivity, especially since the targets don't move all that fast in comparison to games like OW

The only thing is just that whenever you have to press a button on a mouse, you want it to not mess up your aim during a fight. Heals and abilities won't hurt to be on a mouse if you're comfortable, as long as you can click those buttons without changing your mouse grip and having to reposition your hand!

Favorite change: zip lines on places like repulsor so end games aren't as toxic without legends that give the team height

@@GrizzyyG I noticed that last night! I think it'll help a lot for people running legends without good vertical mobility.

I've used 400 and 800dpi and noticed no difference in game at 1080p resolution. Only difference is in cursor speed. But changing resolution would make a slight difference overall

Try starting with 1.0 to 1.4 and then go up or down depending on preference

Logitech g305 is cheap but a little heavy. If you have money try the gpro superlight/gpro wireless. And if you want small try the hati s wireless

Yes I still use 800 1.5 and I have now for quite a few months. Just gotta understand that changing your sens too much can make it harder to aim consistently. Just find something that feels comfortable and grind that out, focus on getting familiar with the ins and outs of that sensitivity. I think 1.5 is a pretty good midrange sens

@@Hybridify I understand, there are some players and coaches who say that using high and low sens is good for muscle memory but for me I think it gets in the way. I also prefer to keep just one, but I always end up changing it when I do poorly in a game.

@@departurealfa3314 it can be beneficial to run multiple sensitivities and understand what parts of your wrist/arm it engages, helps to build mouse control at a more complete level but it's not required at all. You shouldn't be afraid to experiment with sens but don't change it multiple times a day every day for example because you're never going to feel comfortable

@@Hybridify is 400 dpi at 3 sense as pinpoint accurate as 800 dpi at 1.5 sense? Im at 400 dpi and 3 sense, but i hear most people are on 800 for apex looting and more accuracy. Curious about your thoughts...

Theyre the same sens, the only difference would be in deathboxes when looting. It feels exactly the same
